Colombin Bell

Colombin Bel, dedicated to the manufacture and sale of Flexible Polyurethane Foam.

We manufacture and sell Flexible Polyurethane Foam, in its different presentations: Blocks, Laminates, Profiling and Bonded with other materials.

1957

Colombin Bel, founded by Mexican entrepreneurs, whose purpose was to produce useful material in the manufacture of furniture and mattresses of those times.

1967

1967

It acquires its current name with more than 200 workers and the plant is definitively installed in the area of Vallejo.

1980

1980

Colombin Bel is acquired by Grupo CYDSA and merges it with the industrial company "El Palmar" owner of the foam rubber patent and consolidates itself as the main producer of flexible polyurethane foam.

1983

The Monterrey plant begins operations, increasing production capacity.

1993

1993

A distribution center is opened with a small cutting operation to serve the market in  the Bajio and West areas.

1994

1994

Operations are opened in Leon, and in that same year Alfa group through Acojinamientos Selther, acquires the company, covering mainly the polyurethane foam market.

1995

1995

Colombin Bel closes its Vallejo plant and moves to the Tlalnepantla plant in Selther, retaining the brand, since it had greater prestige in the polyurethane foam market at that time.

Acojinamientos Selther, is separated from Grupo Alfa, leaving only the commercial relationship with Colombin Bel.
